History and development of Vershina Tire Testing Center

March 11, 1955. Foundation of the testing workshop as a part of the Yaroslavl Tire Plant.
1957. Installation and commissioning of the first run-in test machines: IPZ for car and truck tires and NKMZ for dynamic testing of aircraft tires.
1968. Construction of the proving ground, the first outdoor tests were carried out to assess the impact of tires on safety and roadability.
1995. Testing workshop for the first time was accredited by the Russian State Standard as a technically competent testing laboratory that meets the requirements of GOST R ISO / IEC 17025 and was authorized to conduct tire certification tests.
1999. Modernization of the test equipment and the development of modern testing machines ОКА-6, ОКА-1С dynamic tests of passenger and truck tires.
2003. Development of the testing proving ground field in order to conduct the full range of winter outdoor testing.
2004. Introduction of wear outdoor testing of modern and future directions for assessing the operational reliability of passenger and light truck tires.
August 26, 2005. Foundation of Vershina TTC LLC on the basis of the testing workshop as a part of the Yaroslavl Tire Plant.
2006–2011. The testing center was equipped with modern equipment for indoor testing. Two ETM H25 6-position machines and ETM IC 100f by VMI Holland 2-position machinebench were assembled and put into work for dynamic testing of passenger and truck tires.
2009. Foundation of a separate division of Vershina TTC LLC – the indoor testing department in Omsk.
2009–2011. Modernization of the 4 machines for the static and dynamic tests. New test methods were put into practice: conductivity measurement of tire and determination of the specific pressure at the contact patch of the tire.
2012. The investment project reconstruction of the proving ground for outdoor tests for compliance with Regulation #№ 117 UNECE, two machines by VMI Holland were installed and put into work to determine the coefficient of rolling resistance for passenger and truck tires.
2012. New equipment – interferometer ITT-1/1680 by SDS GmbH Germany for non-destructive quality control of tire products by shearography method was introduced.
2013. New measuring equipment for indoor tests of tires under ECE Regulation #№ 117 on the new tracks of the proving ground was introduced. Certification tests had been carried out.
2013. Inspection tests on the proving ground had been conducted by TUV SUD Czech. Object properties correspond to the requirements of ISO 10844 and UNECE Regulation #№ 117.02.
2013. Vershina TTC expanded the scope of accreditation and received the right to test tires for compliance with UNECE Regulation №30, №54, №108, №109, №117.
2013. Vershina TTC is included in the Unified Register of Testing centers of the Customs Union.
2014. Extension of the scope of accreditation for testing of tires and automotive components for compliance with the international requirements of UN ECE Regulations No. No. 13, 51, 64, 106, 124, 75 and prolongation of the accreditation certificate until 11 September, 2019.
2014. Mastering the technology of accelerated road (wear) testing for truck tires. By means of instrumentation, the following technical parameters of tire performance are monitored in operating mode: internal pressure, temperature, tread pattern height, travel, route accomplishment, fuel consumption, weather conditions and surface condition.
