For this purpose the road division of the Tire Testing Center uses modern technical equipment, the latest testing methods, as well as a test field located in the Yaroslavl region near the village of Tunoshna.
Types of test and test sites:
1. Determination of adhesion properties of the coating with rolled snow
2. Assessments of stability and controllability on the hard packed snow surface
3. Determination of adhesion properties and assessments of stability and controllability on ice surface
4. Driver comfort assessment
5. Winter tests for compliance with the UNECE Regulation № 117
5.1. Determination of the coefficient of friction on the snow surface for Class C1 tires (passenger) and C2 (light truck). Braking method.
5.2. Determination of the coefficient of friction on the snow surface for Class C3 tires (heavy trucks). Acceleration method.
